Just another reason people annoy me…

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , , , , , , on June 16, 2008 by Frank

So a friend of mine and I come up with a great idea one day… two months later, he takes all the credit and says I had nothing to do with it… This is amazing to me, the short term memory loss that people get is unreal. Nearly as unreal as this presidential election, seems like one giant ploy to keep that stupid war raging on, and to keep the gas prices soaring! I am about 99% sure that we will have another Republican in office yet again… the good ol boys that really run this country are not ready for Mr. Obama… Sad but probably true. Also what if he won, and Hillary was the running mate… I can only assume in short order she would be the actual president… who knows… Its just a sad state of affairs, and Gas is wayyyyy to expensive!

Regardless, I digress… the point is theft of ideas and concepts. Give credit where credit is due, please. Treat others the way you want to be treated! Do not create something great and then destroy it because you want all the credit for it. Its just not nice at all.

Hope this hits home to the people that need to read it.

Celebrities eat too…

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , , , on May 20, 2008 by Frank

Yes it is true, they eat… at restaurants like the rest of us… Last night I went to a place called STK on La Ceinega in Los Angeles. Who did I see… Leah Remini and Chelsea Handler eating with friends. Were they having a dinner meeting about “In the Motherhood?” or some other project… who knows for sure?!?!?! But that would be one great show to be on TV, the webisodes are amazingly funny. I could not hear the discussion unfortunately, but it did appear that they all enjoyed each others company.

The photographs, and people seeking an autograph, was unreal… let these people eat for gods sake. It took an extra 30 minutes to get the car out of the valet due to this… oh well… what will be will be.

Back to the stupidity of the USA (or maybe the world)

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on May 14, 2008 by Frank

Again ponder the waste of time us good ol’ Americans waste on the “what is going on with celebrities?” AMAZING, I post things like Tom Cruise released his new web site, and so did Leah Remini. I am a fan of Films and Television for sure, but I do not waste countless hours worrying about their personal lives. Who cares if Suri Cruise, or Sofia Pagan, is still on the bottle? Does that help your life in any way shape or form? Did you know that there was a major earthquake in China the other day? Are you going to help out with that? Send some money to help them out or something? No, why? because most people do not care… they would rather complain that a celebrities kid is still sucking on a bottle. This is amazing to me.

There is nothing less rational than watching e entertainment, or buying Star Magazine, or all of the other 100’s of stupid publications that exist, that do nothing more than GOSSIP about celebrities…

Let me define this word Gossip for all of you from dictionary.com:

Gossip \Gos”sip\, n. [OE. gossib, godsib, a relation or sponsor in baptism, a relation by a religious obligation, AS. godsibb, fr. god + sib alliance, relation; akin to G. sippe, Goth. sibja, and also to Skr. sabh[=a] assembly.]

1. A sponsor; a godfather or a godmother.

Should a great lady that was invited to be a gossip, in her place send her kitchen maid, ‘t would be ill taken. –Selden.

2. A friend or comrade; a companion; a familiar and customary acquaintance. [Obs.]

My noble gossips, ye have been too prodigal. –Shak.

3. One who runs house to house, tattling and telling news; an idle tattler.

The common chat of gossips when they meet. –Dryden.

4. The tattle of a gossip; groundless rumor.

Please review this word, and then realize all of this is really nothing more than “groundless rumor” which means… no one has a clue as to if it is the truth or not.

I have spent my life dealing with celebrities in some fashion or another, and from my own experience I will say this: These people are starved for friends. Hardly anyone aside from some family members are a real friend to a celebrity. Why? Because EVERYONE wants something from them, always. Weather it is implied upfront or not, everyone wants something from them. This is a sad state of affairs, and an example of what society has done to people that have become a celebrity.

It is stupid to me, just stupid… people care that Celebrity’s are Catholic, Jewish, or Scientologist’s. People care where they eat, what car they drive, what kind of clothing they wear… GET A LIFE PEOPLE!!! Be yourself, do not pretend to be Gwen Stefani if you are not. Jennifer Lopez could care less what you wear or drive…

These people are quite a bit similar to you and me, except they have little to no REAL friends, because the rest of us make it too hard on them to have a REAL friend.

Again, my 2 cents on the issue at hand.

Selling of ad space

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , , , , on May 13, 2008 by Frank

Everything seems to revolve around advertising and sales to me. I have taken a deep dive into this area recently and it kind of just him me very hard that this seems to be an interesting truth. How does radio work? by selling ad space, how does Television work, by selling ad space, how does google work, by selling ad space… seemingly its an amazing thing, most everything revolves around selling something to someone. Makes you wonder about the economy and why its going to hell, and why gas prices are getting so high. In the end someone is pocketing all of this cash, right?

Think of Spam, trying to sell you something… crazy redundant emails about why you need to buy this or that. you get the same stuff on your TV set, at the movies, and in magazines. And any organization that tries to stop it gets killed off in the process. Or acquired by a bigger company and then put on the shelf. The government cannot even stop Spam, yet continues to spend countless millions of taxpayers money to do so.

I really do not want to get into the conspiracy theory of it all, but seems like its true… The Internet cannot be controlled, so its being used to force people to buy more things they do not really need.

Oh well, just another day…

Wow… Tom Cruise released his new web site

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , on May 9, 2008 by Frank

Make sure to take a look, this is flash development at its best.  Tom spent a few bucks on this site for absolute sure, the music and everything is AMAZING!  Its a really great content driven site, with a great history of all his fabulous work!  Even the new Oprah clip is up there.

Gas prices, what to do (very interesting concept email I just got)

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , , , , , on May 8, 2008 by Frank

Here’s the idea: For the rest of this year, DON’T purchase ANY gasoline from the two biggest companies (which now are one), EXXON and MOBIL.

THIS IS NOT THE ‘DON’T BUY’ GAS FOR ONE DAY, BUT IT WILL SHOW YOU HOW WE CAN GET GAS BACK DOWN TO $1.30 PER GALLON.

This was sent by a retired Coca Cola executive. It came from one of his engineer buddies who retired from Halliburton. If you are tired of the gas prices going up, AND they will continue to rise this summer, take time to read this PLEASE.

Phillip Hollsworth offered this good idea.
This makes MUCH MORE SENSE than the ‘don’t buy gas on a certain day’ campaign that was going around last April or May!
It’s worth your consideration. Join the resistance!!!!

I hear we are going to hit close to $4.00 a gallon by the summer and it might go higher!! Want gasoline prices to come down?

We need to take some intelligent, united action. The oil companies just laughed at our last attempt because they knew we wouldn’t continue to ‘hurt’ ourselves by refusing to buy gas.

It was more of an inconvenience to us than it was a problem for them.
BUT, whoever thought of this idea, has come up with a plan that can really work.

If they are not selling any gas, they will be inclined to reduce their prices. If they reduce their prices, the other companies will have to follow suit.

But to have an impact, we need to reach literally millions of Exxon and Mobil gas buyers. It’s really simple to do! Now, don’t wimp out on me at this point…keep reading and I’ll explain how simple it is to reach millions of people!!

I am sending this note to 30 people. If each of us send it to at least ten more (30 x 10 = 300) .. and those 300 send it to at least ten more (300 x 10= 3,000)…and so on, by the time the message reaches the sixth group of people, we will have reached over THREE MILLION consumers.
If those three million get excited and pass this on to ten friends each, then 30 million people will have been contacted!

If it goes one level further, you guessed it….. THREE HUNDRED MILLION PEOPLE!!!

Again, all you have to do is send this to 10 people. That’s all!

How long would all that take? If each of us sends this e-mail out to ten more people within one day of receipt, all 300 MILLION people could conceivably be contacted within the next 8 days!!!

I’ll bet you didn’t think you and I had that much potential, did you!
Acting together, we can make a difference.

If this makes sense to you, please pass this message on. I suggest that we not buy from EXXON/MOBIL UNTIL THEY LOWER THEIR PRICES TO THE $2.00 RANGE AND KEEP THEM DOWN. THIS CAN REALLY WORK!

It’s worth a shot, and it’s better than the alternative, which is to pay these prices as we sit back and do nothing.

So, please join your fellow Americans and help make a difference in lowering these gas prices!! Thank-You
Keep it going!!!

*Feel free to copy, paste and send, who knows it could work!

My silly views on American Society as a whole

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , on May 7, 2008 by Frank

Sure this may be frowned upon by some… but that is the purpose of a blog right, to express oneself about this, that, and the other thing…

IMHO - Americans are overweight, and lazy for a simple reason… too much wasted time on needless gossip, and television. Is American Idol really that great? or E Entertainment for that matter…??? The latest research I looked at was staggering. Upwards of 70% of all Americans spend countless hours on celebrity gossip, and buying crap related to it. Its an advertisers wet dream, but does it do ANYTHING for society at large?

Ask yourself these question: Does it help my life, to know what Brittany got arrested for? Does knowing that Wesley Snipes got arrested for income tax evasion really help me out in wanting to pay tax? Does it change my religious beliefs that Madonna is in Kubalah, or that Tom Cruise, and Leah Remini are Scientologists?

How did you answer these questions? Think about it…

Why in the name of God, does anyone care what these people do… either you like the work they present or you do not, leave well enough alone. Who really cares if they dress bad or good at an awards show, does that help the effects of global warming at all??? Does it solve the drug problems, does it get homeless people off of the streets? Help starving kids in Africa? HELL NO!!!

Go out and enjoy life America, take the kids out camping or something, DO SOMETHING ELSE!!! Do not be a looser couch potato and watch this utter crap, and they pretend to be somebody you are not.

Thoughts to think about!!!

Does a new actor really need a website?

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , , , , , , , , , , on May 5, 2008 by Frank

This is kind of like asking a new mother if a baby needs a bottle… OF COURSE any actor needs a web site… If you are Tom Cruise (who seems to not have a web site), Jennifer Lopez (which seems its not really her website), Matthew McConaughey (who for sure cares about his site), and Leah Remini (who just launched a sexy website, and blog that she actually runs). These types of A Listers need a web site for sure… the fans want to know what they are doing and that they are actually human beings.

For a new person jumping into the business, FOR CERTAIN they need a web site, at BARE minimum to secure their name as a domain. Can you imagine what some vampire would charge Tom Cruise for his name, so that he could use his very own name for a domain? I have heard of very minor celebrities paying a vampire as little as $10,000.00 and as much as $50,000.00 for their own name… these trolls hunt IMDB, find newbies, and grab their names before a person ever knew what happened. All of this can be avoided for very little money.

And this is only one small reason to have a web site as a new actor.

Here is another, casting directors hunt for the “right person” all of the time, its their job… I know personally that my own daughter has booked work because she has a web site. A hunting casting director found her and called, and she got work because she has a web site. I have heard about this happening to many others as well.

A web site gives you the flexibility to put up 20-1000 pictures of yourself, 1-1000 different demo reels of your work, your Bio, your Resume, you name it… You can do it on the web, and people will find you. You can have a mailing list to let the world know that you booked a job, and to watch you when it airs… the possibilities aside from PROTECTION OF YOUR NAME, are endless.

There are a few very professional outfits that cater to the actor directly, the best one I have seen is MyActingSite, they are legitimate, and they even have an 800 number and will help you out anytime.  Call them at 866.628.0051 and see for yourself!

Do well and make it happen!

Help for actors

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , , , on May 2, 2008 by Frank

I have been an actor for many years… like the other 20 million or so people that live in California… LOL!!! The amount of crap I have seen people trying to sell Actors is amazing, from head shots that are just too expensive to the coaching that just sucks… I have found two great sites that really help actors, and do it right. One is headshots101.com amazingly simple, but the right advice on what you need as an actor for a head shot. The other is MyActingsite.com, which is an amazing resource for actors to get a web site up quickly, with only the things that you need. And its CHEAP!!!! These guys are one of kind, and you get a wicked flash web site. They are backed by the Screen Actors Guild, the New York Film Academy, Actors Access, Leah Remini, etc… They save people from the evil vampires that would register a persons name ahead of them and then sell it back to them, once they have made some money.

Have fun! Get work!!! And keep the dream alive, we do not all need to be fans forever!

Very interesting

I just did a deeper dive on Leah Remini, and you know what I found… she is actually blogging herself on her very own word press site. I was amazed by this! An actual celebrity posting things, and responding to people… what will happen next? Pod Casts??? Could you image if all celebrity’s did their own blogs? It would virtually kill all of the bad press, and drive their names to the top of search engine listings. What if Michael Jackson did his own blog… Guess Leah is the leader in this area.

Maybe this is her start on showing the IMDB message board goons, what a real person can do…

Its cool to see her answering her fans, and posting things that really show she is a person, not some diva… I am so sick of hearing all of the press on Brittany, etc… anyway as always my 2 cents.
